DocShield FTP Storage Service is NOT a generic FTP service.  It is designed to be used solely by  the DocShield Windows application to provide a remote storage location for the archive file.

What to expect after purchase

Soon after your purchase (typically within minutes, but allow up to 24 hrs), you will receive an activation code in your email.  In the DocShield Options tab, select the Activate/Inactivate DocShield FTP link and enter the code.  DocShield immediately configures itself to use the FTP storage server.  You will notice that in the Options tab, you will see your DocShield FTP subscription information.  At this point, you can begin copying the archive to and from the FTP server.
