Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT

DocShield requires Microsoft .NET framework version 2.0 running under any Windows operating systems capable of running the .NET framework  This includes Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows ME, and Windows NT.  Note that on many Windows XP and all Vista systems, the .NET 2.0 framework is already installed.  You must also be running Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 or later for all installations of the .NET Framework.  Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 requires Service Pack 6a

Microsoft Windows .NET 2.0 must be installed on the system prior to DocShield installation.  If you do not already have Windows .NET 2.0 installed, it is a free download from Microsoft and can be found at the following  location:  Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Redistributable

The installer will check to see if the .NET framework has been installed.  If it has not been installed, the installation will not continue and you will be prompted to visit the Microsoft site for downloading and installing the .NET framework.  After the .NET framework is installed, the DocShield installation will complete.

Important Note: DocShield version 2.0 data files are not compatible with those of version 1.0
